Masala Chai
Ingredients:
- 3 cups water
- 2 tbsp black tea
- 5 whole cloves
- 3 cardamom pods
- 1 cinnamon stick, broken
- ½ tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1 cup milk
Instructions:
- Crush spices in a mortar or small grinder.
- Add spices, ginger, and tea to a saucepan with water.
- Bring to a boil and let simmer for 3 mins.
- Remove from heat and add milk. Bring to a boil once more.
- Remove from heat and let steep for 2-3 minutes.
- Strain into mugs or a tea pot.
- Sweeten to taste.
