Acupuncture at the Center occurs one evening a week in a group setting.
Acupuncture at the Center occurs one evening a week in a group setting. Guests are welcome to sit or lie down, whatever they are more comfortable with. The registered acupuncturist will ask about difficulties or desires for that week and proceed with acupuncture. All guests are welcome to join if they are getting a treatment or would just like to quietly relax with the group.
Many people wonder how acupuncture works; It is the stimulation of points, with the insertion of fine acupuncture needles, to correct imbalances. Acupuncture points are connected by energy pathways called meridians. According to ancient Chinese teaching, the life energy, or qi, circulates through the body along these meridians. The components of qi, Yin energy, and Yang energy, are constantly transforming. The ideal state of health is achieved naturally by balancing Yin and Yang in the body.
At the Center, both body and ear acupuncture are used. The NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol for the ear is often used to help overcome harm due to addictions by improving patient outcomes in terms of program retention, reductions in cravings, anxiety, sleep disturbance, and overall wellness.
